With a passion for real estate and a love for interacting with people, a career as a realtor and property manager has been a natural fit for Curtis Johnson. Describing himself as a "lifelong student of the real estate industry," Curtis — currently enrolled in New York University's respected Residential and Commercial Property and Project Management programs — practices what he preaches
Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, Curtis relocated to New York for college. Real estate soon beckoned, and Curtis gained his license and started working for local brokerages as a realtor and property manager while pursuing his own investment projects. He realized that there was a need for reliable, attentive property management company that could work with both vendors (in construction, interior design, and architecture, amongst other areas) and property owners. Curtis specialized in liaising between the two. He realized many owners did not have the time or understanding for the oversight required to ensure the smooth completion of essential projects.
Curtis — who is an avid audiobook listener, cook, swimmer, and soccer player outside of real estate — has accordingly named his company Cures Management and Preservation LLC. 'Cures' is an anagram for Creative Urban Real Estate Solutions. By providing an arena for reputable vendors to bid on projects and be rewarded for good work with more projects while also allowing owners to benefit from competitive pricing, Cures aims to be a trustworthy buffer between vendors and owners. This role eliminates price gouging, shoddy work, and late payments. Curtis accomplishes this through rigorous vetting of vendors and meticulous detailorientated oversight.
Curtis has adopted a holistic approach to this aspect of his project management.

Michelle is our youngest team member and was drawn to join the company because she too is working on becoming an investor. Fascinated with the business realm, she takes care of most administrative tasks including the Billing department. Michelle is a jack of all trades, often helping others around the office wherever she might be needed. Michelle is happy to lend a helping hand to both clients & tenants alike, you need only ask her!
